Did you know that it takes just one incorrectly configured Calendar Sync home to trigger major issues with your account? Incoming bookings may display the wrong pricing, and advertising channels may even disable your listings if errors are persistent. Ultimately, incorrect setup can end up costing you money. So, if you’re having difficulty configuring your calendar sync rates, no fear. Our dedicated team of experts is here to help. To get you started, take a look at this ultimate guide on how to properly configure your Calendar Sync rates.
After you have successfully cloned a property in CiiRUS, you will need to go to “Reservations & Quoting” where you will see and click on “Edit Rates” located under “Rate Sets”. From the drop-down menu presented, you will find a new rate set located under the name “Set Imported from Master for CS Property”, which is then followed by the property ID of the home you have cloned.
Once you have selected a rate set, you will need to apply your mark-up using the “Mark-up” tool located at the bottom left. The Mark-up tool allows you to set an initial mark-up on the nightly rates imported from your supplier and apply it to your daily rates. You will then have the option to set a fixed mark-up or a percentage. When a fixed mark-up or percentage has been added, you will need to click the apply button.
Next, you will need to set the imported rate to sync. This is an important setting that automatically updates the rates anytime the supplier makes a change. For example, if they add a new date band or make edits to an existing date band, then this would apply. To set the imported rate set to sync, click the “Edit Set” button and apply the rate to “Sync with the multiplier” or “Sync with a fixed mark-up.” Bear in mind there may be a slight delay between when the supplier makes an update and when your rates are changed. Most importantly, when a change is made by the supplier, the existing marked-up rate will adjust accordingly, which takes a lot of work off your plate.
Note: These steps are required to be completed after each property is cloned, because not every property will have the same rates template.
